Who we are

Barvox (barvox.com) is a hospitality podcast and news site based in Copenhagen, Denmark, operated by Centric Hospitality Group (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at admin@centrichospitalitygroup.com or through the contact form on our homepage.

What data we collect and why

Contact and guest applications

When you use our contact or “Be a guest” forms, we collect the details you submit (typically your name, email address, and message) so we can respond to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in handling your enquiry (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). We keep form submissions for up to 24 months, or shorter if you ask us to delete them.

Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and send it to our newsletter provider, Kit (formerly ConvertKit, Kit Inc., USA), which sends emails on our behalf. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, and we will delete your address from the list.

Analytics and site improvement

With your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), we use the following tools to understand how the site is used and to improve it. These tools set cookies and collect usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser information:

  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) — visitor statistics.
  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.) — anonymised heatmaps and session recordings of how visitors interact with pages.
  • Metricool — aggregated site and social media statistics.

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the cookie settings link on this site. Declining analytics does not affect your use of the site.

Embedded content

Episodes are hosted on and embedded from third-party platforms — Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Podcasts. When you play embedded content, the platform may collect data about you (including cookies and IP address) as if you had visited that platform directly. Their own privacy policies apply.

Server logs and security

Our hosting provider (Hostinger International Ltd.) automatically logs IP addresses and request data for security and operational purposes. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). Logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site work (for example, remembering your cookie choices) and, only with your consent, statistics cookies from the analytics tools listed above. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.

Who we share data with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with the processors named above (hosting, newsletter, analytics), who process it on our behalf under data processing agreements. Some providers (for example Kit and Google) may transfer data to the United States; such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or EU standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, and receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict our processing of it, and to withdraw any consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@centrichospitalitygroup.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
